I'm Sophie, a Professional Organiser based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, UK. I have a passion for styling interiors and streamlining spaces to make your day-to-day life easier.

My Story

My partner and I bought a new-build house a few years ago, something I thought we would never do, as we love the charm and character of old houses. But we've enjoyed decorating a blank canvas, really putting our own stamp on the place. I have had to come up with clever storage solutions as the house didn’t come with any in-built cupboards or shelves.

It was my love for curating our space that made me reconsider what I wanted to do for work. Then I saw that Dilly Carter's next professional organising course was taking bookings, so I decided the time was right to go for it.

​

The course was an in-depth look at how to organise each room and how to work with clients, alongside a group of 25 other like-minded ladies who get a thrill from folding tea towels! We did in-person work experience and case studies to put what we had learnt into practice, and even got the chance to work behind the scenes on the show Sort Your Life Out.

​

Since completing the course I have worked with numerous busy people, who are longing to get their spaces in order. To them it's a chore that they know needs doing but they simply don't want to do it (and that's okay!). That's where I come in.   

​

My Background

​

Whilst pursuing an acting career in London in my twenties, I was on the app Task Rabbit to make some extra cash. I did all sorts of jobs for people - I once even picked up and delivered birthday doughnuts to a businessman in canary wharf who didn’t know I was coming; only slightly awkward!

 

There used to be an organising category on the app. I added this service to my profile, as I knew I was good at helping people get things in order. The only downside to this was that I couldn't talk to the person before the job. Clients just booked a timeslot and then I would turn up with no idea what was in store for me!

 

As a result, I became very adaptable to different client's needs and situations and was able to get stuck in no matter the task. However, nowadays I much prefer talking to the client first, learning all about them, their home and coming up with a plan to best serve their space and lifestyle.

I have always been the 'organised one', booking the restaurants, organising meet-ups, and sorting friends' jumper drawers. I have also been known to create detailed holiday itineraries - complete with colour-coded post-it notes!

​

In 2011 I interrailed across Europe with a friend and we booked all of our accommodation and travel in advance. We even did the whole trip without smart phones - I don't know if we could do that now.

My Mission & Vision

We spend the majority of our lives in our home. Therefore, rather than it being a place you dread coming back to or don't want to invite people over to, it needs to be a place that makes you feel calm, that inspires you, and where you make memories with those you love the most.

​​

Inviting someone into your home to go through some of your most private possessions can feel daunting. Be assured that my work is completely judgement free; I am here to help solve your problems and leave you feeling lighter. 

 

​I want to help you fall back in love with your home when you are stuck in a rut and feeling overwhelmed by your belongings. I love working 1-2-1 with clients, helping them declutter and reclaim their space, and genuinely (no seriously) love organising their most prized possessions.

​Every client, home and situation is different. I will be adaptable to how you live, making your space function better, by bringing fresh ideas and organising solutions that you may not have thought of.
